SkiUp Transfers terms and conditions

SkiUp Transfers is a Swiss business based and working out of Switzerland. All SkiUp Transfers drivers have passed the required Swiss TPP professional driving license and have completed advanced driving courses with the Touring Club Suisse (TCS) including a snow and ice masterclass.

  1. RESERVATIONS

1.1 Reservations for Skiup Transfers services may be booked via our website (www.skiuptransfers.com), by email (info@skiuptransfers.com), and by phone (Swiss number +41 79 861 7631) or (UK number +44 7566 738 449).

1.2 The person making the reservation must be at least 18 years of age and will act on behalf of the other passengers if there are more than one. He/she will take on the role of the “head passenger” and by doing so accepts these terms and conditions on behalf of all the passengers. All the correspondence will consequently take place between SkiUp Transfers and the “head passenger” who will be responsible for all the other passengers travelling under the reservation.

1.3 A reservation will become firm once the full amount has paid either via our website (paypal) or an international bank transfer (IBAN). A firm reservation will be acknowledged by an email confirmation sent from SkiUp Transfers to the “head passenger” confirming the price, date, time, destination address, number of passengers and any other specific details requested by the “head passenger” whilst making the reservation. This email will be used as the definite travel document and the “head passenger” will be responsible to check all the information on the email confirmation is correct and will need to be present it to the driver at the meeting point. SkiUp Transfers will not be liable for any incorrect information on this document. Any changes made to the reservation will need to be confirmed by SkiUp Transfers and will result in a new email confirmation being issued to reflect these changes.

1.4 Reservations that are subsequently cancelled up to 2 weeks (14 days) prior to the date of travel with SkiUp Transfers will be fully refunded.

1.5 Reservations may be modified up to 24 hours prior to the date of travel with SkiUp Transfers if the transfer date remains the same (therefore the modification would relate to a change of time, number of passengers or destination).

1.6 Reservations requiring a change of date are subject to transport availability and must be acknowledged by a new SkiUp Transfers email confirmation.

1.7 The price quoted by SkiUp Transfers includes all taxes, tolls, luggage, petrol, baby seats or booster seats as well as complimentary refreshments and wifi.

1.8 The “head passenger” is required to acknowledge all notifications SkiUp Transfers makes to you. In the event that you fail to acknowledge receipt of an email, the records that exist on our email server will be considered as proof of reception.

1.9 Where delays are incurred due to flight (or other means of transport) delays that are out of the passengers’ control, SkiUp Transfers will guarantee transport as long as the date remains the same as indicated on the reservation email confirmation. Delays extending to the following day and beyond will be subject to our availability. SkiUp Transfers will do their best to accommodate a quick solution but will not be held liable for any delays incurred. SkiUp Transfers will not be held liable for any charges if the customer has missed flights due to unforeseen circumstances.

1.10 Any bank or credit card charges incurred by the customer when reserving is at their charge.

 

  1. TRANSPORT

2.1 SkiUp Transfers will provide booster seats for children 12 or under (or under 135cm) and baby seats for infants. The “head passenger” is responsible for requesting the appropriate child seats at the time of making a reservation as well as being responsible to check they appear on the reservation email confirmation. The seats provided by SkiUp Transfers are certified to Swiss standards. Customers may bring and use their own child seats if they prefer to.

2.2 In order to comply with our safety standards and to International Law, passengers must wear their seat belts at all times.

2.3 SkiUp Transfers recommends and schedules transfers to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours prior to the flight departure time. At the customer’s request this time limit can be increased or decreased. However, if it is decreased (less than 2 hours) SkiUp Transfers will not be held accountable for a missed flight or additional costs as a result of this decision.

2.4 SkiUp Transfers will do their utmost to ensure punctual pick up and drop off times. In the event that our driver is delayed for reasons beyond our control (force major) our first priority will be to seek alternative arrangements. However, we will not be held liable for circumstances that are not within our control including, but not restricted to the following: –

– Road accidents
– Road congestion
– Road blocks
– Weather conditions
– Natural disasters
– Vandalism

2.5 SkiUp Transfers allow pets to travel subject to prior approval and under the condition the pets travel in thier own carrier cages.

2.6 SkiUp Transfers can transport wheelchairs provided they are folding and that they have been mentioned under the SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS segment during the booking.

2.7 The “head passenger” is responsible to ensure and certifies that no illicit weapons, drugs or any illegal contraband is carried on the vehicle and that all members have appropriate identification in the event of police or customs check points.

2.8 The “head passenger” will be held responsible for the conduct of the travelling group whilst in SkiUp Transfers vehicles and will be held responsible for any damage or mess and ensuing related costs caused during the transfer.

2.9 It is forbidden to smoke, consume alcohol or use illegal drugs whilst in our transfer vehicle. SkiUp Transfers have the right to refuse any passengers under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or those they deem as a threat to the safety of the other passengers or driver.

2.10 Customers are to ensure they travel with their mobile phones and that they are switched on upon arrival in Geneva. If you are unable to locate our driver in the airport terminal or at any other predetermined meeting point, it is your responsibility to contact us on the phone numbers indicated on the SkiUp Transfers website (and on the email confirmation travel document). Failing to make contact and using alternative travel arrangements will nullify the reservation with SkiUp Transfers who subsequently will be relieved of their obligations. Unused transfers are not refundable and any alternative travel costs organised by the customers will not be reimbursed.

 

  1. LUGGAGE

3.1 All luggage must be listed on the reservation page to ensure SkiUp Transfers allow for the appropriate transport equipment. Failure to do so will result in the possibility of SkiUp Transfers not accepting some or all the luggage. SkiUp Transfers will not be held liable for any loss or damage caused to luggage accompanying passengers except during the transit time with SkiUp Transfers. However, SkiUp Transfers will not be held liable for theft or vandalism and highly recommend customers check their insurance policy prior to travel to ensure they are covered for any unfortunate eventualities that are beyond our control.

 

  1. GENERAL

4.1 We cannot guarantee the accuracy or reliability of the content of this website against viruses or any such malware. In the event a booking is made with erroneous pricing, promotional information, or any such false intentions, we are not liable to fulfil the booking.

4.2 Any issues relating to the services provided by SkiUp Transfers must be sent by email to info@skiuptransfers.com.

4.3 In any circumstance the liability of SKiUp Transfers is limited to the amount indicated on the email booking confirmation.

4.4 These Terms and conditions apply to all bookings made on this website and are governed by Swiss law. The jurisdiction for any customer dispute is the court of the Swiss canton of Vaud.
